What customers say?

“ A little gem in a market town. The food was tasty, hot and very well priced. Lovely cakes too. ”

“ A fantastic stop off when travelling along the A1. Avoid the Markham Moor services and go here instead for tasty home cooked food and friendly welcoming service. I had the amazing Chorizo and Tomato Hash and it was superb. Desert was lovely too, so tasty. The food is not bought from mass market suppliers and the team are so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend highly enough and will be back with my family. ”

“ Wonderful little place. We stopped by this morning, and both breakfast and lunch items were available all day. Had the coronation chicken and it was a hearty portion - bigger than expected, and bigger than most places! Waitress was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. ”

- Alex Horsman -

“ Great little place to enjoy breakfast or light lunch. We had two breakfasts the food was generous, hot and served with a smile. Their coffee is really good and my wife had a generous pot of tea. Their menu is wide ranging but at the same time concise so your not overly presented with all sorts of options, simple with good range of offerings. All in all a really good experience. Wheelchair access is good but some of the tables are quite close together so may cause a problem. Will certainly go again when in the area. ”

“ Visited a few weeks ago and been meaning to leave a review because we really enjoyed it We visited to check out the area as we have just moved in to Tuxford. The staff were lovely, very kind, friendly and funny. We had two sandwiches, a Terry's hot chocolate and two of the loaded cookies. They were so good and you can tell they make everything with a bit of pride and love. Will definitely visit again :) ”

“ I nipped in on my lunch today, I have never been here before and if I am ever in the area I will come again! The tuna melt was really good but what I most looked forward to was the massive cookie cake! It did not disappoint! Before I had even 2 bites my partner had devoured most of it but I had a back up and it was a cornflake tart, absolutely banging. 10 out 10 ”
